Hello Gas Safe, Goodbye CORGI

From 1 April 2009, Gas Safe Register will replace CORGI as the official UK-wide gas safety organisation. By law, from now on you must make sure that the installation and servicing of all gas appliances (like boilers, fires and ovens) is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
From 1 April 2009, only Gas Safe Register engineers are qualified to carry out work on gas appliances - CORGI gas registration will not be valid.
If someone other than a Gas Safe Register engineer carries out gas work at your home, you could be risking the safety of your family and your property.
