Meet Kevin Green, one of our Key Building Wealth Trainers and Social Entrepreneur, as seen on Channel 4’s ‘The Secret Millionaire’ on 23rd September 2009.
Kevin started out as a dairy farmer, albeit a farmer with an entrepreneurial streak, working hard to build up the family business from 40 dairy cows to 400.
Today, Kevin shares his knowledge and wisdom with others by being a key trainer at the Building Wealth courses, saying “I never thought my life could change so drastically from being a dairy farmer to a multi-millionaire and social entrepreneur within a few years. I am now proud to be giving back to the next generation of property entrepreneurs as a trainer for Building Wealth.”
On 23rd September 2009 Kevin was a featured secret millionaire in the popular Channel 4 TV series ‘The Secret Millionaire’, spending time with the homeless and young offenders at a rehabilitation centre, giving away thousands of pounds of his own fortune to help make a difference to other peoples lives. But it was the time spent with the staff and families at the children’s hospice that had the most impact on Kevin. He gained satisfaction from donating a sizeable amount to the bereavement and sibling support teams, poignant and relevant to Kevin having three children of his own, and having lived through a sad and untimely family loss earlier on in his life.
Kevin's Story
In 1999, something shifted in Kevin’s mindset. He craved success, financial freedom and time to be with his three children. He didn’t know how or where to get it from but his attention was grabbed by a Building Wealth flyer he received in the post inviting him to attend a local seminar on property investment. Always the cynic, Kevin went along, ready to be dismissive, although the course actually had the opposite effect on him. Kevin realised that property was his future and signed up for further courses in Buy-to-Let, Asset Protection and Distressed Property. The first property Kevin bought was a three-bedroomed terrace house in Wales for £43,000. He spent £5,900 on renovations, and then sold for £61,000. Now, eight years on, Kevin has built up a portfolio of 267 properties with a worth of £29 million.
Kevin has also been seen on Channel 4’s ‘The Price of Property’ and Sky News, and is a regular commentator within key print media such as The Western Mail, Property Talk Live and Property Week.
