Kevin Green, from Burry Port in Carmarthenshire, who is a frontline trainer for Building Wealth™ (powered by Tigrent Learning UK) met his match on Monday 16th November 2009 when he went along to TGI Friday’s in Cardiff to meet six year old Aiden, a Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK child with Congenital Heart Disease, who asked Make-A-Wish to spend the day as his hero, Spiderman. Kevin also met with Aiden’s dad, Craig and his mum, Eve, who recently got married, together with brother Lewis and little sister, Rosie.
As Aiden’s original wish with Make-A-Wish was to live, eat, sleep and breathe Spiderman for the day, he duly lived life as Spiderman prior to meeting Kevin, whilst being filmed. Aiden, together with family and friends, subsequently attended a film ‘premier’ of his day’s antics as Spiderman, red carpet included!
Meeting Kevin at TGI’s after the Wish Day was the ultimate ‘fly in the web’ so to speak, although Aiden didn’t know that Kevin had agreed to dress up as Spiderman as well for the ‘date’. Aiden has adopted his Spiderman outfit as his daily uniform. Who knows, maybe Kevin will too.
When asked about his day as Spiderman Senior with Aiden, Kevin commented:-
“What an amazing day I had. To see the joy on Aiden’s face took my breath away – he even got to the red carpet before I did in life! In some ways I envy the imagination of a child – they dream about what they want to be in life yet as we get older, more often than not, our dreams elude us. When I was younger I dreamt of being a millionaire and having the financial freedom I have today. I am privileged to be able to live my dream although it has taken commitment, hard work and drive and I certainly don’t take anything for granted.
“Special days like this will be remembered and cherished by Aiden and his family, for always. I am so proud to be a supporter of the Make-A-Wish organisation, a relationship that has evolved over time, via Gold Supporter Tigrent Learning UK”.
